Turn Your QR Codes Into Art with AI
Let's be honest — QR codes are ugly. They get the job done, but a black-and-white grid of pixels isn't exactly something people want to share on Instagram. And when nobody shares your QR code, you're leaving engagement on the table.
Today we're launching AI Artistic QR Codes — a new feature that uses generative AI to turn your QR codes into actual pieces of art. Watercolor landscapes, cyberpunk cityscapes, Japanese woodblocks, abstract geometry — all fully scannable.
How it works
Under the hood, we use Stable Diffusion paired with ControlNet conditioning. You provide a text prompt describing what you want the QR code to look like — "mountain landscape at golden hour" or "neon city at night with rain reflections" — and our pipeline generates an image guided by that prompt while embedding the QR code data pattern into the artwork. The result is an image that looks like art to the human eye but scans perfectly as a QR code.
Eight style presets to start
Not everyone wants to write a detailed prompt. We've included eight curated style presets that produce great results out of the box: Watercolor, Oil Painting, Cyberpunk, Minimal Line Art, Japanese, Nature, Abstract, and Geometric. Pick a style, hit generate, and your AI QR code is ready in about 35 seconds.
Want more control? Write a custom prompt with as much detail as you like. Add a negative prompt to exclude things you don't want (blurriness, text, specific objects). Adjust the control weight to balance between artistic freedom and scan reliability.
Guaranteed scannable
Artistic QR codes are pointless if they don't scan. Every generated image goes through a post-generation verification step that decodes the QR data from the artwork. If the scan fails, the system automatically retries with a higher control weight to strengthen the QR pattern. You'll never download a code that doesn't work.
Use cases that get results
Teams are already using AI QR codes for product packaging that customers actually photograph and share, event marketing materials that double as collectible art, social media posts where the QR code is the creative, restaurant menus and table cards that match the venue's aesthetic, and business cards that stand out in a stack of boring ones.
Your gallery, your history
Every QR code you generate is saved to your gallery. Browse your past creations, download them again, or regenerate with a different seed for a fresh variation on the same prompt. It's like having an AI art studio built into your link management platform.
Available now on Pro plans
AI Artistic QR Codes are available today. Pro plans include 5 generations per month, Business gets 25, and Enterprise gets 200. Head to any link in your dashboard, click the QR icon, and switch to the new AI Art tab to try it out.
