Custom Domains: Your Brand, Your Links

Every time you share a link, you're sending a signal about your brand. A link like clypt.io/abc123 gets the job done, but go.yourcompany.com/launch tells your audience exactly who's behind it — before they even click.

Why custom domains matter

Custom branded domains deliver higher click-through rates (studies show branded short links get up to 34% more clicks than generic ones), instant brand recognition in emails, social posts, and printed materials, professional appearance that builds trust with your audience, and full control over your link namespace.

Setting up a custom domain in Clypt

The entire process takes under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Choose your domain. Pick a short, memorable subdomain like go.yourcompany.com, link.yourbrand.co, or r.yourdomain.com. Shorter is better — it's going in links after all.

Step 2: Add it in Clypt. Go to Dashboard → Domains → Add Domain. Enter your custom domain and Clypt will provide you with a CNAME record.

Step 3: Update your DNS. Log into your domain registrar (Cloudflare, Namecheap, GoDaddy, Route 53, etc.) and add the CNAME record pointing your subdomain to Clypt's servers. DNS propagation typically takes a few minutes, though it can take up to 48 hours.

Step 4: Verify and go live. Back in Clypt, click Verify. Once DNS is confirmed, we automatically provision an SSL certificate for your domain. All links using your custom domain are now live and secured with HTTPS.

Using your custom domain

Once verified, your custom domain appears as an option whenever you create a new link. You can also set it as the default domain in your settings, so every new link automatically uses your brand. Existing links can be migrated to your custom domain with one click.

Available on Pro and above

Custom domains are available starting on the Pro plan (1 domain) through Enterprise (unlimited). Each domain supports unlimited links with full analytics tracking.
